Gavin studied law in University College Cork and graduated in 2016 with an honours degree in Law.

Gavin commenced his traineeship in a general practice law firm in Cahir in 2018 and gained a wide range experience in areas such as Conveyancing, Litigation and Wills & Estates. Gavin was admitted to the Role of Solicitors in December 2020 and continued to work in general practice.

Gavin joined the Cahir office of  Donal T Ryan Solicitors LLP in 2022 and now deals mainly with Conveyancing and Probate & Wills.  Gavin was made a partner in the firm in February 2024
